bbi began by supplying plywood to the packaging industry but quickly realised there was an opportunity to expand the range. bbi now supplies product for a range of civil and commercial projects, from ply for acoustic dampening on a major roading development to appearance grade product to meet architects’ specifications for interior finishing. We distribute nationwide through building supply stores for the building industry, and we supply large industrial users such as the packaging industry directly.

In order to manage the considerable growth we’ve experienced over the last few years, we’ve employed the best people from within the building supplies industry, on both the retail and wholesale side, and now have over 100 years of combined experience within our team.

Brendan is bbi‘s founder and has been in the building supplies industry for most of his working life. Brendan is always looking out for exciting new products to bring choice to customers and enjoys the design side of things.

Rowe looks after the purchasing of our product range, business marketing and oversees our sales team. Rowe has worked in the building supplies industry all his life, with a wealth of knowledge in the timber industry.

Martin looks after our Sales and Marketing department as well as our Central and Lower North Island customers. Martin has a background in sales, marketing, and branch management.

Operations Manager

David (Sarge) looks after our daily Operations. David has a background in Operations and Dispatch working with large logistics companies and manufacturers.
